DVA'S Enemies: Short Stack

Short Stack has it tough! No one takes him seriously enough, but this little fella packs a punch. He's a versatile enemy for players (or maybe he IS the player?!) to deal with. Lots of options for devs to make this dude a real problem for gamers. Short Stack includes a variety of color choices - some to signify basic turrets, while others show off the elite Stacks. Animations focus on turret behavior - patrol, hover, offline blinking, scanning, alerting, and of course...blasting. Pick up Short Stack to give your player a stiff punch to the gut in a small, mobile package.

All animation spritesheets and GIFs are made according to my personal preference. You can, of course, change animations in your engine and select to us the same/more/less/difference frames for your in-game animations.

This pack contains the following animations (you will get several spritesheets and GIFs with recommended animation speeds/setup):

• 13 color variations and multiple colors for effects
• Basic Movement
  • Turn
  • Attack - Flash & Charged
  • Offline

  • Close
  • Hurt (2 versions both with and without particles)
  • Jump
  • Scan (with and without effects overlaid)
    • Start up
    • Repeatable section

• Special Effects
  • Hover (this can be used to promote movement of the turret)
  • Shooting Effects
    • Blast
    • Impact
    • Both straight forward and angled
  • Hurt Burst
  • Hurt Dust
  • Take off/Land smoke
  • Thrust/Hover smoke
  • Blips
  • Scan/Alert

Each sprite was designed with  16x16 tilesets in mind. 

Please review the included READ ME file in the .zip file.

This  pack may receive new animations. Updates will be directly applied to base file to make it easy and not worry about multiple file downloads.

Planned Updates:

• Color variations
• Probably a new pack, but a double and triple stacked turret (double is seen in a screenshot here)
• Different bullet effects
• Projectiles
